Exploring the surroundings and the mountains together

Family time – O’Mama family time in Rio di Pusteria in the Pustertal Valley

The world around us is wide, full of paths and possibilities. In summer, hikes and splashing fun in the water await young and old alike. In winter, it’s all about first turns on skis or fast-paced sledding rides. So, let’s go: pack your adventure backpack and head out!

Spend more time outdoors – plenty of time in nature

Mountain time – easy hikes for families

Children teach us to walk more slowly, more attentively, and to see the world through their eyes. Most little adventurers love hiking – as long as it doesn’t get boring. They want to stop, observe, marvel at tiny insects, and dream up stories along the way.

Around our adventure farm, you’ll find countless family-friendly trails. And if you prefer, the cable cars take you up comfortably so you can begin your hike high above the valley.

Splash and dive

For even more water fun, there are wonderful options nearby all year round: just a 5-minute walk brings you to the charming Riod di Pusteria/Mühlbach outdoor pool, with reduced admission in summer for our guests. A 10-minute bus ride takes you to the Acquarena, open year-round with indoor and outdoor pools, slides, waterfalls, and a whirlpool. And only 15 minutes by car is the idyllic Issinger Weiher natural swimming pond – perfect for a sunny family day.

Water lovers and little mermaids will find plenty of joy at O’Mama – splashing in puddles when it rains or heading up to the roof with mom and dad to enjoy the hot tub and cool tub together. The purest spring water flows through our pipes, so pure you could even drink it while you shower.

Out and about with an e-bike

No more huffing and puffing – it’s all about the joy of the journey. Right next to our farm, you can rent e-bikes for both children and adults at the local bike rental, with special conditions for O’Mama guests. Together, you can plan relaxed bike tours that the whole family can master with ease.

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski and holiday area offers countless beautiful routes, from gentle paths to small adventures. Pack up some provisions in our Mini Soul Kitchen, hop on your bikes, and let the journey begin.

Experiencing new things is fun

Exploring towns the child-friendly way

Set out together and discover the nearby towns in a relaxed, family-friendly way. Children love to see new places and soak up fresh impressions – and here, sightseeing can actually feel easy.

O’Mama is just a 5-minute drive from the highway, but you can also simply leave your car at the farm. The train station is only a two-minute walk away, with quick connections to Bressanone/Brixen (10 minutes), Brunico/Bruneck (25 minutes), and even Bolzano/Bozen or Merano/Meran (about an hour). And as we know – with children, the journey itself is already part of the adventure.

All just about an hour’s drive away.

Magical winter in the Pustertal Valley

Experiences in winter and at Christmas

Little hands roll snow into big balls until a snowman stands smiling in the garden. Indoors, cozy corners and play adventures abound, while outside a whole winter wonderland awaits. Around Rio di Pusteria/Mühlbach near Bressanone/Brixen, there’s so much to experience that it’s almost impossible to list it all.

Kronplatz and Plose, two of South Tyrol’s best-loved ski areas, are only 25 minutes away.

For something quieter, Valles/Vals offers sunny winter hiking trails, while the Rodenecker Alm mountain pasture is a dream for sledding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing – perfect for magical family memories.
