Our
Story
Family vacation in South Tyrol – Bed & Breakfast in the Pustertal Valley
Spend unforgettable moments with your family, reconnect, and rediscover yourselves. O’Mama family time was born from our own wish – as the Egger family – to have more time together. At the same time, we wanted to open our home to others.
We created a place where children can simply be children – and where parents can find space to be a couple again. A place where families can truly savor precious time together. Because children are not meant to be “dropped off” here, we deliberately chose not to offer childcare. We are not an all-inclusive family hotel with a 24/7 kids’ club – instead, we are rethinking what a farm holiday can be.
Our farm was first mentioned in records in 1511. Being “different,” along with our love for hospitality, inspired us to create something truly special – a place where free-range animals meet Japandi design and authentic farm charm. Since the end of 2024, we have been welcoming guests into our rooms so that you, too, can experience freedom, serenity, and pure family happiness.

Family time for us – and for you

Farm experiences

A sustainable vacation home
And this is how we tick
We – Veronika and Martin – are down-to-earth, endlessly optimistic, flexible, and not easily rattled. Martin keeps the house and farm running and is the man for repairs and everything practical.
Veronika fills the house with warmth, flowers, and little touches of beauty. Together, we create encounters and build relationships between guests and hosts. We want our children – and yours – to play and laugh together.
For us, family time is precious, and we want you to experience the same.

Plenty of space for creativity to grow
At O’Mama, it’s not about escaping everyday life – it’s about spending true quality time with your children.
Watching them closely, meeting them at eye level, leaving behind sensory overload and excess, and turning instead to what matters: the connection between parent and child, between human and animal.
Inspired by design and sustainability
Our centuries-old walls gave us the foundation – and we chose to keep them. We renovated with moon wood from our own forest and other high-quality natural materials. The result: clear, purist lines, interpreted in a warm and functional way.
Our bed linen and towels are made of 100% cotton. Seat cushions and pillows are crafted from linen spun by Martin’s great-grandmother. We are nearly energy self-sufficient: we use rainwater, photovoltaics, and solar collectors; we heat with wood from our own forest; and our air-conditioning units are water-based. We drink revitalized Grander water and work exclusively with local suppliers and craftsmen.

Enjoying time together in the large living room
Feel at home and enjoy your vacation free from fixed meal times. At O’Mama, the motto is TOGETHER. We’ve created a place where everyone gathers – to cook, to eat, and to linger comfortably in the spacious communal living and dining room. And the best part: we’ll take care of the dishes.
After dinner, children can play in the forest room next door, always within sight through the large windows. These are the moments that make the living room special – moments of sharing, laughter, and togetherness.
At O’Mama, family time isn’t measured by a packed schedule of activities, but by what truly matters: genuine connection, the freedom for small adventures, and spaces where everyone can simply be themselves.
